Has The New York Post newspaper sunk to an all-time low, by referencing President Barack Obama to a Monkey (Chimp) or is this merely just a case of misunderstood innocent advertising?
Al Sharpton -- and other black opinion makers like CNN's Roland Martin -- blasted the cartoon as an attack on Obama's skin color and as a racial reference to African-Americans. The cartoon, published on Wednesday, appeared to compare President Barack Obama to a violent chimpanzee.
The New York Post has denied these allegations and refuse to apologize.
So, what do you think?
I think that it is a very good possibility that the creators were just saying that basically the stimulus bill is nothing ground-breaking and that even a monkey could write it out. By no means do i think that there was a reference to Barack's background. Besides, after everything that was put out after the last 8 years, are they really going to start getting emotional and touchy about every little thing now that Obama is the president? By no means am i supporting Bush but I think they should just let it go.
