Preeclampsia May Lead to Future Health Issues

Preeclampsia is a complication of pregnancy that’s linked to life-threatening cardiovascular disease. Because pre-eclampsia refers to a set of symptoms rather than any causative factor, it is established that there are many different causes. Women who experience preeclampsia during pregnancy are at increased risk for future health problems such as hypertension, diabetes and blood clots, American and Danish researchers report.
